The Legend Begins
This is an exciting time for Silver Creek Dragon Football. The 2011 season will be the Dragons first year as a varsity football program and full member of the Mid-Southern Conference. The Dragons will not only have a full varsity schedule and play in the state playoffs, the Dragons will also field a junior varsity squad. The players and the Dragon's coaching staff is already gearing up for the upcoming season.
One of the most exciting events that will occur this fall is Friday night football for the varsity squad. There is nothing as exciting for the players and hopefully for our fans to come to a Friday night game. This season, not only will there be a football cheer leading squad, but for the first time in the history of Silver Creek High School, the marching band will be performing during halftime of the Friday night contests.
This season you will also see familiar faces on the Dragon sideline and two new faces. The familiar faces will be head coach Mike Donahue, defensive coordinator, Kevin Brooks and offensive coordinator, Dave Rooney. The new faces will be offensive and defensive line coach, Jerry Brooks and special teams and defensive backs coach, Tony Garrett.
